What Happened to Call of Duty Warzone Mobile
Activision officially announced that the Warzone Mobile servers are set to shut down on April 17. After April 17, the game will no longer be accessible on mobile devices.
This is the final step in the previously communicated service changes to Call of Duty. The title was already delist from Google Play and Apple’s App Store in 2025. Now the full shutdown has been confirmed.
The game originally launched in March 2024 as a mobile version of the popular battle royale experience. It supported cross progression and brought Warzone to mobile in an authentic way.
Why Activision Decided to Pull the Plug on Call of Duty
According to Activision, the mobile battle royale game unfortunately did not meet expectations with mobile first players like it has with PC and console audiences.
While the company(Activision) appreciated the community that supported Call of Duty Warzone Mobile, the performance of game in the market was not strong enough. Activision clarified that after earlier news in may 2025, this was the final update in the previously communicated service changes.
This decision impacts only the mobile version of call of duty. Other Call of Duty titles remain active.
What Players Can and Cannot Do Now
Here is what you need to know clearly:
- The game will go offline on April 17
- Servers go down permanently on that date
- No new seasonal content or gameplay updates
- Social features and in app purchases using real money are already disabled

Account and COD Points Update

- Guest accounts will no longer be accessible after shutdown
- Activision accounts will still work on Activision websites and titles that require an account
- Any unused COD Points should be spent before April 17
- COD Points will no longer be available once the servers are taken offline
- Refunds are not available for previously purchased in game content
If the game is still installed on your device, remaining COD Points can be used in the store until the final day.
Alternative for Mobile Players
Mobile players can move to Call of Duty Mobile. This free to play title offers multiplayer, battle royale mode, and even a new extraction based DMZ: Recon.
It continues receiving meaningful seasonal content and updates. Activision said they look forward to delivering meaningful seasonal content and updates to Call of Duty Mobile.
Warzone is also available on PC and console and remains free to play.
